i started experimenting with different colors on the pieces to see what they be like.

MOOMIN Screen print design

HEY GUYS!
Here is a picture of a screen print design iv done for the creative agency monorex.
this month is there 8th birthday ceremony and they have ask a few artist to come up with designs based on popular childhood cartoon shows.

I was going to create a design for my favourite show ren and stimpy but unfortunately someone else went for that idea.
so i took on Moomin as it was also one of my favourite shows as well.

took a while to figure out how to layout the design as it is going to be printed on A4 hard paper in one colour.
I used allot of 01 pigment pens to fill in my trademark pattern style and also fill it with dot shading (still getting use to doing this technique)that took hours to do. but with all the patience and hard work put into it i finally fiished it in time before the deadline :D.

got a small exhibition happening on April 3rd at the trattoria in east london. should be good :D. going to create some A4 sized pieces of wildlife creatures in my own pattern style.

this month the new issue of front magazine is out now to buy and i done a illustration piece on seth rogen for the magazine, check it out :D

wooh did a fun fanzine cover design for the university of Canterbury's school of fine art in new zealand. actually enjoyed doing this commission even though it was free. but they let me do my own thing on it ^-^. do love doing my own art thing :P

creating a new portrait piece for a exhibition held in colerado this month. the exhibition is called 'in the midst of hope' which is a charity event to help raise money for awareness for children in uganda. the show is curated by patrick maxcy.

the piece that I'm working on is combined with inspiration from wildlife parts and I'm trying out some new techniques of drawing with my trusty pen, adding a bit of flow and movement in the patterns so it looks like the plans or merging out of the face like air.

hopfully it'll look alright when its finished!

just done another design for a company called dan and dave, they specialise in making card deck designs. they commissioned me to create an owl made up of card.

just finished a cool portrait of a wolf in my own style. took a while to draw with many tiny pens :P

new design done for seeksicksound.com , wanted me to do my own version of there logo for a shirt design. took mi a while to finalize.

did a cool pattern style background few days ago. not use to doing colouring on my pieces but this piece kinda works :D

also done a upside down face and a sycadletic looking cat thing (kinda stuff you draw when ur on crystal meth :S). may do more of this type of stuff later next month if i get the time.
